Lee Jong Hyup
Inside the art gallery Lee, Jong-Hyup’s intriguing amber light rectangles merge with green growth. Made of pine resin, and representing the force and energy of nature the artist brings together science, culture and nature. These bright earthlights look as if they were coming from under the earth. It all becomes a metaphor for humans’ presence on planet earth where science and nature intersect near the science city of Tsukuba.

アートギャラリーのなかに、Lee, Jong-Hyup（リー、ジョン･ヒョップ）の魅惑的な琥珀色で矩形の造形物が緑のジュウタンとともに現れる。松ヤニからできていて自然の力とエネルギーの象徴である松ヤニを用いて、アーティストは科学、文化、自然を統合している。アースライトの輝きは、まるでその光が大地の奥から来ているように見える。それらのすべてがプラネットアースの人類の存在のメタファーとなるが、サイエンスシティーつくばのそばのこの場所でサイエンスと自然が交差する。
